Blue Hippo Alert

consumer reports blue hippo logo This consuer points out some pitfalls of buying computers from Blue Hippo. Read the full report.
Blue Hippo targets credit-impaired borrowers, hoping they also are math and shopping-impaired. Google it and you will find complaint after complaint about being ripped off by Bluehippo. Even the State of Illinois has filed a lawsuit against Bluehippo. Yet their advertising blitz continues unabated. It is little more than a form of extortion. Would television and radio carry an ad that said, "Not good with finances? Call us and we will rip you off some more"? Of course they wouldn’t, but they do every time they broadcast an ad for Bluehippo.

you can lease a computer at any rent-a-center or place like it. you pay a little more than if you bought it out right, but they don't check your credit. my friend, bought his threw them. you get your computer on the day you make your payment, not weeks later or when ever the company feels like it.

hey, i am currently working for blue hippo.. i dont see how it is a scam or some thing like that.. you place your order over the phone. we give you all the information. explain the whole thing over and over again and tell you that you get the computer after you 1)make the initial payment, 2) make 13 weekly payments. 3)sign and send back the documents that you are sent.. and after 13 weekly payments we send you your purchased items.. i dont see how this is wrong....

File an online complaint with the Maryland attorney general's office 'http://web.oag.state'. Blue hippo was court ordered to make refunds to customer's who never got what they paid for. I don't think you have to live in maryland to send a compliant because it's the home state of blue hippo and that is were the transactions are considered to have taken place. I just sent in my complaint and we will se what happens.

My boyfriend purchased a computer through Blue Hippo with an offer to received a printer, scanner and camera. One month there was a discrepancy with the account and the check bounced. Blue hippo tried to withdraw again and was able to get their money. My boyfriend finished his payments and was told he will not receive the items because his account was in default. His payments were on time except that ONE incident how could it default? How can he go about getting these items back.
