Pimpin' Out The iPod

consumer reports pink ipod cover This consumer reports on Christmas gifts, including the iPod cover.
now i know what you’re thinking. if you’re gonna spend $250 on an mp3 player, might as well protect it. yes, i think that’s a brilliant idea. before the ipod, the only “electronics” accessories sold were different colored bodies for those horrid nokia phones. there’s a whole market dedicated to “pimpin” your ipod. but you really have to think of your target audience for this gift. really. studies show that 85.3% of ipod ownder do not own or care to own anything in “fuzzy pink”.

How Do You Wrap A Hockey Stick?

consumer reports christmas shopping This consumer reports on the end of the 2006 Christmas shopping season ... and some credit card debt.

Christmas shopping 2006 officially ended at 1:45 this afternoon in the parking lot of Patriot Square with the car trunk closing on yet another holiday buying season. I can almost hear the daily interest charges growing on my credit card - it sounds something like a balloon being inflated toward its bursting point.

Are Your Household Products Safe?

consumer reports household products aisle This consumer reports on safety and storage of common household products.

I don’t want to mislead people, just want to show that we should give much more attention to those little labels on our household products. On that site, there are plenty of brands, some of them have great quality. Be cautious while choosing… Our health is the first!

Stolen Identity

consumer reports credit card A good report on what consumers can do about identity theft.
Christmas 2006 update: I hate thinking this is an 'evergreen article' but my mother-in-law who is nearly 90 just had her identity stolen and is now making sure she shreds all her paperwork before discarding. With the shopping frenzy of the holidays, the risk to consumers for identity theft is particularly high this time of year.

Cleaning Up The Marriage

consumer reports shirt stain This consumer reports on how a household cleaner saved a marriage.
She was a middle-aged woman just trying to survive on the mean streets of upper-middle class suburbia. He, a highly concentrated, environmentally friendly (and surprisingly economical!) bottle of Basic-H. Perfectly accessorized with a full complement of spray bottles suitable for every cleaning need, he promised her that no stain would ever stand between her and the nirvana that is the white glove clean home.
